CASE STUDY: Forming a coherent organisational strategy for a growing business
What was happening:
This client is a new and rapidly growing interactive digital organisation. After a highly successful start, the founding partners planned to expand into Europe, and hand over the UK business to the next level of management.
The challenge here was to step up the leadership performance of key individuals and to help them create an integrated strategy. The senior team needed to preserve the best of the delivery-focused culture and establish clear processes for company-wide communication and sustained growth.
What we did:
We designed a programme to help them work out where they were headed as an organisation. They learned to engage in real and meaningful dialogue rather than agreeing a to-do list that only took them so far in their future direction. More importantly, the team soon realised their planned goals fell short of what they needed to do to be successful outside the UK.
The results:
The founding partners now had a much clearer idea of both the contribution and potential of the next level of management. A new organisational strategy was agreed, with stretching new goals and action plans. The senior team also established clear processes to perpetuate the proactive culture, and foster future talent.
